208002: For the refurbishment of the Tourist Office and Eastern section of the County Museum building. The proposed development will include: 1) Alterations to the internal layout of the Tourist Office. 2) Replacing the existing entrance doors on the North and South elevations with new timber entrance doors and side screens. 3) Break through the Western wall of the Tourist Office and install a full height window. 4) Change the use of part of the second floor to office accommodation. 5) Provide a new vehicular ramp and planters from the Friary Car Park to the North elevation of the building. 6) The installation of associated signage. 7) All ancillary site works. In accordance with the Habitats Directive, Appropriate Assessment Screening has been carried out on the project. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made and concludes that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development. Ennis is a recorded monument and place (RMP) and is classified as a historic town by the Archaeological Survey of Ireland. These works are located within the Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) and would materially affect the character of the ACA. There are a number of Protected Structures within the vicinity
