To renovate and extend an existing dwelling house on the Main Street, Borris. The property is a protected structure (RPS Number: CW187 (NIAH Ref. 10400818) in an architectural conservation area.

To remove an existing single storey pitched roof extension (21m2) to the rear of existing 2 storey dwelling (with basement) a protected structure (RPS No. CW 185, NIAH No. 10400819), construction of a new single storey extension (64m2) to the rear, renovation of the existing house, external alterations and improvements including an additional window opening, use of existing on site services and all associated site works

A Protected Structure - the development will consist of a single storey, double-height pitched roof extension to the rear of the existing property, to provide for new living and dining spaces, with an attached single-storey, flat-roofed kitchen; ameliorative structural, technical and enviromental works to the existing basement; the insertion of a new internal staircase between basement and ground floor; the lowering of 2 no. window cills to provide for doorways in the existing structure; the construction of a new external set of steps to provide ground floor access; and associated hard landscaping and terracing to the side and rear of the existing house and proposed extension.
